NTMA FOR A NEW CAREER AS A MACHINIST

NTMA is the National Tooling and Machine Association and it operates a school in Ontario and Norwalk for teaching the skills of a machinist.  This is a hands on school.  But in addition to machine shop tools, students will learn about computers and computer controlled equipment.  This is truly a high tech career that has high pay and strong job security.  Financial aid is available for those who quality; there is also job placement assistance, and you do not need a high school diploma to enroll.  About eighty percent of the students at NTMA land a job following graduation.  I was very impressed to meet the employers who depend on NTMA to train and prepare workers for their businesses here in Southern California.  NTMA is a not for profit association, and there is advanced training at no cost to graduates of NTMA.  Call NTMA at (800) 962-NTMA or go to their website at www.trainingcenters.org for information.  Ask about the free tours.  And watch the half hour special reports on NTMA.  See the videos below for an idea about your future as a machinist after training at NTMA.

American Career College opens new campus in Ontario

American Career College has opened a new campus in Ontario and like the campuses in Los Angeles and Anaheim, the Ontario campus features many courses that can help you start a new career in the health care industry.  Some of the courses can land you a job as a medical assistant or surgical technician.  Other courses will help you land a career as a pharmacy technician, medical billing and health claim examining, and there is a dental assistant program.  There is also an optical program.  A high school diploma is not required for many of the courses and a GED program is offered.  There is financial assistance available for those who qualify.  Watch the video below for more about the programs at American Career College.
