Update September 7, 2011  FindingAContractor.com is now handling a total home makeover in a luxury home in the hills above the San Fernando Valley, and we are going to be watching the progress.  Below is our first report on this makeover and transformation.  In this TV report we talk to the homeowner and to a contractor about the plans and we show you the work in progress.

MAKEOVERS FOR THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT ROOMS-- THE KITCHEN AND MASTER BATH

Elaine Adler wanted a new home, but couldn't make a move.  So instead of selling and losing money on a sale, she gave her home a makeover, and she started with the two most important rooms of her house -- the kitchen and the master bathroom.  But almost immediately her plans grew to include a makeover for the floors and the roof, and the ceiling and the lighting and the exterior drains, and the cabinets and the doors.  When I spoke to her she told me she felt as though she was living in a totally new home -- even though she had resided there for decades.  She is especially proud of her new kitchen with granite counters and tile flooring and backsplashes made with what are called "subway tiles" and the custom cabinets that were built just for her.  She also got new doors and new lighting and skylights added.  And to make her kitchen chores a snap -- and to add pleasure to that new walk-in shower in her new master bathroom -- she also had a tankless water heater added to her home.  Watch our video report below.
